LED Lenser L6 stripdown

I've ben restoring a badly-corroded and abandoned lenser L6 but I'd like to know if possible how to unscrew the main turret at the front to lubricate the seal. I can unscrew the front ring and lens, but I don't want to force the focussing ring. Ideas, anyone?
