What is the difference between the CREE XPL-V6 and the CREE XPL-HI? Is there a difference in beam color tint or beam distance, hot spot, width of the beam?

Yes, yes, and yes 
... Same emitter. The HI is dedomed so it throws significantly further, and has more of a pinpointed hotspot. Color is the same, but the HI looks different because the hi candela causes it to have a more intense brightness, even the the overall lumen output is just about the same. All of that said I'm sure an expert will be around momentarily to provide a better summary.

Does one have more green to the tint than the other?
Is the HI is more of a thrower out of the two?
