I thought this light was a good buy at first but quickly realized my Galls HALO was not that good after a few days of carry.
I was just playing around with some emitters supplied by fellow member Chop(thanks Chop)and decided to try out a mod on my Galls host.
Cut down the body and used a Dorcy AAA board and home made heat sink with a LD luxeon from Chop.Shortened the body enough to power it with a single 123 cell and fit an NX-05 in the head area.Capped it down with the bezel from an old MiniMag and it fit perfect.
Still has the old switch from the original Galls HALO but it is momentary or constant on.
The output really surprised me as it was almost identical to my ARC LSL-ST.
Fun little mod to do and I like it better than the original.
My resources are limited as I have no good tools or experience but it turned out pretty good all things considered.

Cool, Robo /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

It's an inspiration to others to see that they can enjoy the benefits of modding without special tools and skills.

Thanks for posting this.
