After some six months of planning, testing etc. the said replacement boots are finally available.
And since Pelican does not offer them as parts this will be the only place you'l get them.
Item description:
a. High-quality clone of the stock M1/M3/M6 rubber boot down to the original specifications (ie. "faithful reproduction")
b. Made with high quality, high density silicone material for better longevity and good abrasion resistance (as compared to stock rubber which would age and harden in the long run)
c. Press area diameter ~16mm, base flange diameter ~22mm; boot total height ~6mm
d. Silicone hardness (density) 70 (out of 100 scale)
e. Available in Black, Hunter Orange and GID Green
f. Compatible with tailcap assys from both pre- and post-2014 M6 batches (2320/2330/2390), as well as incandescent M1 (3310) and M3 (3370) models
g. All boots go through straight vetting process to ensure they are at least as good as the original
NOTE:
a. Proper flashlight maintenance skills and additional tools required to access and replace switch boot
b. Some cosmetic imperfections/blemishes may be visible on GID green boot variant due to occasional uneven fluorescent powder application onto the silicone substrate; this will not affect normal boot/tailcap usage and functionality
