I roughly got the idea on the code chart, TWOJ, TYOJ... but can someone show me the whole chart or tell me the whole picture of the coding. Please and thanks.

Thanks for the fast reply. Is my understanding correct that when an led is labelled TWOJ, it means T,WO,J where T is the min/max lumens produceable, WO is the color of the light the led produce and J is the Vf the led requires ? Thanks

Referring back to the chart, an X-bin luxeon produces up to 192.0 to 249.6 lumens of light /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
That's the brightest luxeon available now... I think /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
I am not sure where you can get one but I can't affort one anywway /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Why is the X bin so rare ? Shouldn't luxeon produce more of it if it is so good ? I definitely would like all my light to be x binned, is there any disadvantages using x bin ?

Semiconductor companies alway try to produce better
products. Some are better (whiter or brighter, or faster
Pentiums) and some are average, and some are worse.
So companies test the parts and sort them into bins.
They price the better bins higher and the worse bins lower.
Ideally they price the different bins so that all product
gets sold and they maximize their profit.

X-bins are the best they can make but everything has to
go right in the processing to get some. So they are rare.
As time goes on, most semi manufacturers get better at
whatever they are producing so X's may become more common,
and then we'll all lust after Y-bin parts /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

(white) X-bin emitters haven't been seen in a while - all known examples utilize the old bin structure (tint is designated with 1-5, with 3 being most neutral).
