Has anyone used the UCL-LDF from flashlightlense.com on there Led modded mag light to smooth out the rings when you focus to a flood? If anyone has bought this lense, how well does it work?

I have one. Definitely smooths out the beam, but also takes away from the overall brightness. But smooth, definitely.

I'm not using the one I have at the moment though.

In fact, I have mine for sale now in the B/S/T Non-Lights forum. I'm not using it, so don't need to have it around.

The LDF lenses are definitely meant to smooth out the beam quite a bit. Tests have shown it won't necessarily reduce the overall brightness, but it will reduce the brightness of the hot spot by spreading it.

I concure with that statement. "Overall brightness" I suppose is not a choice of words. There's still a good amount amount of light, just a spread out hot spot.
