Are 40 mm glass lenses avalible anywhere?

Okay, I have a few BD headlamps and my main beef is how easily the lense scratches.
It is 40 mm in diameter, 1.585 in or about 1 and 9/16 in.
Is there anywhere I can find a glass lense?

I hope it is okay to post this in this forum. I have a hard time thinking of changing the lense as a "mod."

You have to order 100 lenses for flashlightlens before they will make them up for you. If you have access to a wet grinder (check with the local rockhounds – lapidary) you could just buy a 52.1 mm lens from them and grind it down yourself. It doesn't have to be a precision grind on the diameter. Keep the lens parallel to the grinding wheel and it won't chip.
