Those don't look like 5mm nichias... they look like they came out from LCD monitors...

Read the other day that one of the new Lincolns uses LEDs for all interior lighting. Even the dash.

Wouldn't using that many 5mm LEDs really defeat the point of the whole "energy efficient" appeal about LEDs? I guess its only the color similarity of HID lights that attracts people. The pea grean must be a turn-off, or Luxeons would a lot better choice there. I would think that a lower wattage fog lamp could produce much more light and use less power too.

It's a concept car. It doesn't have to follow rules. Correction: It a designers and even partially an engineers car--not a bean counters car.
