Luxdrive Min output current?

I just started playing around with my Luxdrive a bit, to try and see what it does under a few different load conditions. I've got it wired up to run off of a 14.4V LiIon battery (as I don't have a bench supply capable of the kind of current required), and I've tossed a couple of load resistors at it. With the 5 Ohm resistor, and the 10 Ohm resistor, I get a current as expected, 1.000A, to the accuracy of the meter. With a 10 Ohm resistor connected, it puts out 0.978. Those don't look too bad. However, when I hook up a 1 Ohm resistor (no, no good reason that I'd want that as a real load, I'm just testing the device), I get about 1.7 Amps out of this thing. Anybody know if there is a minimum output voltage that this thing will do?
