I picked up one of these today from someone who was tossing it. Tekna Night Eye, made for Eddie Bauer. It's keychain with two LR44s driving a large red LED. Manaul is dated 1989. Cheap plastic construction with a titanium sleeve around the body.

Anyone seen these?

Yup. I had three of them, traded one to CY. He has a picture of it on a thread called What was the first LED flashlight?

or something like that.

I still have the one my dad gave me from the late 80's... still a cute little light.

It's a pretty neat light, especially for it's day.
Fairly bright and a nice magnifying lens.

I've had mine in the collection for years.

Good find.
Hang on to it, Tekna stuff are classics !

I still have one from my Soldier days. Back in the 80's I carried one on my left wrist. I still have it and it works like a charm! I picked it up the other day while going through some gear and it worked perfectly. One of my all time pieces of kit.

If anyone knows where I can pick up another I'd like to give one to each of my grandsons!
