Not really a mod, more a creation.
From the front, she's 2 10mm white LEDs drawing 23 milliamps apiece.
But from the back, it's a simple circuit running off the single AA battery inside.
The copper "necklace" is actually the coil to turn 1.5 volts into the 6+ volts needed to run the LEDs. Add 3 more parts: a transistor salvaged from a disposible flash camera, a 470 ohm resistor and a 0.01uF capacitor, and you get a useable flashlite that's guranteed a lot of comments!
