I would like to separate the two pieces of the head assembly of my E series light to do some mods.

Anybody know how (Or if) it can be taken apart (Hopefully without destroying it)? Is it threaded or pressed together?

Any info would be appreciated....

TIA

Threaded. However, Surefire applies some thread locker to prevent it from unscrewing, so you might need to apply heat to soften it.

My E1e didn't have a whole lot of thread locker applied so it just unscrewed when I tried one day. You might be lucky. I on the other hand wiped the reflector and messed it up big time /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/oops.gif

All of the ones that I have gotten have either come apart by hand, or on one or two I used a strap wrench. It a pinch and you don't have a strap wrench you can use a vacuum cleaner belt.
Like KevinL said you don't want to touch the reflector.
