to get my reflector (shiny part) out of my solitaire's head, i had to bend in several tabs on it so it could be pushed back. The lens (clear plastic) should just fall out, or at least come out with very little effort

The stock reflector seems to have little tabs on the back end of it that flare out and catch on the threads inside of the end bezel. I haven't tried but it may be possible to unscrew the reflector and have it come out. What I did with mine was to find a metal rod that was small enough to fit inside of the bezel and I just tapped the lens and reflector out together.
