One recent poster indicated that his Gladius would blink when fed with rechargeable batteries. Not sure what flavor he was using.

Anyone try a Pila 168S?

best regards

The lower voltage of the 168S makes the Gladius think the batteries are weak --> low batt warning.

Frenchy - Given the Gladius is powered by 2x123, I think it's safe to say that 2xRCR2s wouldn't power it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I am using a 168S in my Gladius and yes it does double flash but I can live with it for free lumens and most of the time I'm only using my torch in short bursts anyway so it does not come into play a lot of the time.
