As the title says, has any of the Extreme Predator owners tried to dissasemble or attempted modifications on this light? Just thought I would ask. I have been wondering what the advantages of changing out the over driven 1 watt(being overdriven at 3 anyway) with a Luxeon III T bin. Any thoughts/ anyone no more info about the circuit/regulation?

The Predator is a tough one to get open.
A couple of thoughts:
The optic is exposed, be very careful about applying heat when you try to unlock the bezel ring.
The thicker slug of a LuxIII may pose spacing problems with the optic.
