To pick up the $17.99 Energizer nimh set. Four 2100mAh AA's and four 700mAh (i thin 700..) AAA's with 30min charger and DC cord.

But right next to it, whoa, what's this? There was a Sanyo set, six 2500mAh AA's two 900mAh AAA's and a fairly compact AC charger, for $21.99!

I didn't buy it as I wanted to research it more but I have been unable to find any real details about it. Anyone know anything about this? From what I see the batteries alone are worth about what the whole kit costs, and the same kit isnt available anywhere else.

I may go back today and grab one!

The Sanyo 2500 mAh AA's are always at or near the top in any tests. They sell for about $3 best price. The AAA's at 900mAh are the highest capacity AAA's I have heard about. No nothing about their charger.

The batteries, even at best price would cost more than the charger. If it's junk, throw it away.

I'm going to Costco to get the Sanyo cells!

I saw these the other day when I was in Costco with my WIFE. She's banned me from flashlight purchases....

I was just informed in another thread that 2500's are probably some of the BEST AA's available!!

Go get em!

Any idea if this is a 1, 2, or 4 channel charger? ......can it charge an individual cell by itself?

The charger is a separate channel one It would charge 1 or 2 cells (at the outher positions at 2 A for about 1.5 hours based on 2500 mAh AA cells) and 3 or 4 cells at 1 A. It has only one LED as a charge indicator that goes off when the last cell has finished charging, i.e. you wouldn't know the charging status on each cell separately, but it does charge them separately.
IMO for the given price it is a very good deal

Hello,

It has individual charging chanels, it can charge 1, 2, 3 or 4 AA's; 1 or 2 AAA's and some combination of AA and AAA. Only one LED that turns red while charging and turns off when the fast charge ends. It will go into a 3 hour trickle charge after fast charging (LED off). It can do NiCd too.

NiMHAA
1850 mAh 1-2 60min; 3-4 120min
2300 mAh 1-2 70min; 3-4 155min
2500 mAh 1-2 80min; 3-4 170min
