Oh, and be careful with the battery cap. It popped open on me once into my lap (nearly had a heart attack). And when I put the cap back on, it wouldn't power up at all. I tried to take the cap off, but it wouldn't "spring" off. Had to pull on it. Then I discovered why it wouldn't turn on, the battery spring had fallen off and was on the floor. Popped it back in, and everything is right as rain.
But yeah, I won't be changing batteries while walking around on the streets.
Dave, I love your "Packaging" for the SPY 007. THE most functional packaging I've seen. Our packages could've been dropped in the ocean and run over with a truck, no problem.
Perhaps you can have a custom foam insert cut for these Pelican 1010 cases? Perhaps with some holes cut for spare CR123 batteries as well? 2-4 might just fit.
Anyways, I'm feel like I have OCD, constantly flicking it on and off and on and off and on and off and on and off and on and off and on and off and on and off and on and off and on and off and on and off and on and off and on and off and on and off and on and off and on and off and on and off and on........

Hold your finger over the battery cap when you push the release or, as you saw, it will go flying.
The spring is not held into the cap as tight as I would like but it will not pop off unless you pull it off. I recommend taking it off one time so you can see how to put it pack. The tip I give people is to put it into the bottom end first (end closer to the lanyard hole) by pushing and twisting CCW. Twisting CCW makes the diameter of the spring smaller. Then hold that same end in place while you put the other end in.
Don't hold your breath on custom foam, it costs too much. I suggest you grab some foam and a knife and make your own.
As for clicking the switch . . . I can't stop either.
BTW, love the nice pics everybody has posted.
Cheers
Dave
