Since you are so happy with it, then what is the fuss about us mentioning it here?[emoji1]
Btw, i just grabed a steal deal of a 170 clicky from an European dealer. But I still want to discuss about my concerns about HDS here.

Yes at that price, it's a very very good deal, considering what you get for it :).
I might have grabbed one myself, except that I'm beginning to have a bit too much HDS lights here :D

Yes. One clicky, one rotary will be quite enough for me too. Then I will save for a Mcgizmo Haiku HCRI AA.

I have not said anything about you not having the right to mention about it here. Before you go on with the defensive stance, let me just get my point out to you. You can post all you want for all I care. All I am asking is what seems to be the big issue here with getting the black bezel if Henry is willing to replace any piece which is not right? Can I ask?

I guess one does not have to be here long to start a war...

:shakehead

That bezel flaking looks terrible. I'm glad Henry will replace it, no questions asked. I'd be annoyed if I got it too.

I can't help it if you feel that way. I think you are too sensitive.

I don't see how my post was directed at you, so why the direct response at me? Did I hit a nerve?

Grow up.

Edit: A bit if a misunderstanding, sorry about that pjandyho.

Things seem to be getting rough in the sandbox again, lol

Anyway, I would love to see another run of 170 Lumen Clicky's using the Golden Dragon led.
I know it's available for the 140 only.

My Ti Raclicky sports the 170 GD and it's one of my favorite beams.

:grouphug: :buddies: C'mon now... Though telling someone here 10 years longer than you to grow up may be a bit harsh.

I don't see how new buyers should worry about the black bezel issue. Yes you faced problem with yours and I know it felt horrible, but many before you have experienced nothing but reliability in the AlTin coating on their bezels, including myself. Considering how Henry is more than willing to make things right by sending you a new bezel, why should new buyers be worried? I know I wouldn't worry a bit because a peeling coating is only cosmetic and doesn't affect performance in the time of using the light while waiting for the replacement bezel to ship from Henry. So what's the fuss about?

Is there like some HDS Old Guard that stands ready to smite anyone who posts anything perceived as negative towards HDS?

As explained in my PM to you, my comment is very much to do with what you have posted in response to my initial post above. Calling someone you don't even know an HDS Old Guard on an open forum is downright rude and insulting. Unless you got some better explanation for your use of that phrase, I take it as an initiation of an insult. So who's the one to grow up here?

Edit... On second thought, I apologize for taking this thread off line. Moderators please fill free to delete my posts away... And I apologize to everyone, including 46Alpha and rickyo for my comments. I am not a very tactful person but I never meant to be offending in the first place.

And apologies on my end. As I said in PM, wasn't directed at you. I failed to see the way my post fell directly after yours. So even though it wasn't directed at you, it seems that way. So I'm sorry about that.

Either way, it was more implied in a light hearted manner. I maybe should have used a smiley face to better convey that.

And hats off to you for stepping up. This should be kept on track.

So enough with the drama.

Yeay! One big happy family again :grouphug:

And this is meant in the most lighthearted manor. Were like a bunch of good old friends, who arn't afraid to :touche: now and then over our opinions. As long as we are sure to bring it full circle in the end :buddies:

And now, back to the flashlights!

Cool. I apologize too for snapping. Should have cleared the air with you on PM first. Have a great day (or night?)!

All good man, I appreciate your understanding.

Back on topic: In reference to carrying a rotary. Has anyone had any luck with Fenix clips? I've seen a few older videos that use them with some effectiveness.

Wheweeee, let's all simmer down.
We can all get a little "passionate" about things we are "passionate" about. Let's all take a moment of silence and click our Clickys in unison...and become one. Feel it? ..lol.

The fact that Henry is sending a replacement bezel for those that got a cancerous looking one is very reassuring that he will take care of his customers after the sale. That means a lot and a good reason for me to LOOK for more HDS lights. The more I use my OR Custom 170, the more I like her. She is a smooth little light. Only complaint so far is the ano, or lack of, on the body & tail. It also has the "rings" on the outer edge. It's not too noticeable outdoors. It's a little more ringy than my Malkoff 219B ...but I'm not really complaining, since I said I only had one complaint to speak of...lol.
Just sticking my opinion out there for those considering an OR Custom or 170N. Although, we have just learned that these are NOT exactly the same?!?!? Would like to see a comparison beam shot, that'd be cool.
I'd say if your on the edge, I'd go for it. If something happens to this'ern, I think I'd need another..black bezel and all.
Well, that's all for now. I can get a little wordy at times. I'm sure it's probably a relief to most of you..lol. At the very least, it is about my HDS. :) ..take care all, DB

I am a little curious too about the fenix pocket clips on the rotaries.

Also, you guys here anything about when Henry plans on releasing the pocket clips for the rotaries or are we still hoping.

I grabbed one of the OR Customs as well. Mine doesn't have any of the rings others speak of. I'll try to get some beam shots tonight, but I'll be honest I've never tried to get beam shots.
