First and last time I do business with Kevin at the battery station

Guys and gals. This mess started out with a simple miscommunication which I still do not understand. The FIRST email from this customer was laced with the F word. Here is the Subject line of the FIRST message I got from him. (I removed the F word for this forum) "It was a simple f***ing...

    Operation Afghanistan Christmas Lights

The Christmas gift arrival in Afghanistan went awesome!!! If someone would be so kind as to email me, I have a few pictures I want to post but don't know how to do that. Everyone over there expressed their thanks for all the stuff sent. Almost 100 boxes sent. Great work and thanks everyone!

    I'm SO ashamed!!!!

The other day I had changed into cutoff jeans and left everything in my other pants. One in a million chance that my wife will say "I need a flashlight" and she did. I was SOooooo ashamed. I will never hear the end of it. "YOU don't have a flashlight!!!" It was bad.

    how are rayovac 123a cells?

I will try to get the date code info published to our CPF page shortly. It is a bit different than other companies and confusing but they did email me the table that shows how to read it. The ones we have just shipped are less than 60 days old. As posted in another thread, it is my...

Ok, whats the newest Hotness RCR123's?

Our yellow with red band RCR-123A is both low voltage (2.5V) protected and short circuit protected. Factory claims 900mAh, so that is what we call it but I have found repeatedly it checks in at 875mAh at .5A draw. On heavier loads, it may be a bit lower. I have only ever got 900mAh out of it...

Does Duracell no longer make their own CR123A's?

There has been in the past a lot of cross brand manufacturing. What I mean is when one company has a shortage, they buy from another manufacturer. It is my understanding that Panasonic is doing some of the Duracell product but not all of it. I remember a few years back seeing Red shrinkwrap...

    W A R N I N G - BS Battery Explodes

JimH, Please contact me so I can make all of this right with you, including clean up. Get a good mask and fax me the bill. I could speculate as others here but really don't know why this happened. Low current drain caused something to happen? What pisses me off the most is that it got past...

    W A R N I N G - BS Battery Explodes

I cannot stop knee jerk reactions. Our CR123A now made here by (begins with R) is NOT NOT NOT the issue here. Any other CR123A you buy now from Surefire, Energizer, Duracell, Rayovac, or Panasonic is NO safer. Please get your facts straight before ripping me by email and telling me how much...

    W A R N I N G - BS Battery Explodes

That AA LFB-AA was NOT made in the USA. Our CR123A is now made in the USA and is of less concern but people need to be careful of ALL lithium chemistries. I cannot stress this enough. They are an unreal amount of stored energy in a tiny package.

    W A R N I N G - BS Battery Explodes

I really hope everyone understands that these were deemed "safe" by Underwriters Laboratories but so are many others and others have also gone poof. I cannot emphasize enough to be careful with ALL lithium chemistry batteries. This is NOT brand specific. Lithium Polymers have burned more...

    W A R N I N G - BS Battery Explodes

I am sorry about that. I wish I could list all the times that all sorts of types and brands of lithium batteries have done this. It is a lot. I am not trying to excuse myself but rather make a very important point. Low percentage in number sold but still happens to all brands. Please...

    Operation Afghanistan Christmas Lights

I understand from Nick's dad Bruce that a mountain of boxes has arrived at the Task Force Saber base in Afghanistan. I hope to have news or pictures shortly of the unpack celebration. Inova lights have just departed that direction and more local donations continue to pour into the store on a...

    Operation Afghanistan Christmas Lights

As of today, Friday the 7th of December, 65 boxes have been shipped to this platoon. We have enough local donations and a few more lights yet for an easy dozen more boxes. The stuff just keeps on coming in the door!!! Our local radio network really did this big. They ran free ads for two...

    Operation Afghanistan Christmas Lights

As the last 4 years, this has been an honor to be allowed to help in this project. I am going to make a list of "thank you's" next week. The local Chamber of Commerce, Radio Stations, Churches, Schools, Newspaper, and dozens of West Plains busineses and individuals and CPFers and AR15 members...
