    Man.... I'd so glad I kept all those CMG Infinity Ultra's and Ultra G's !:laughing: Just like fashion the past keeps coming back.     How many Lumens for hiking at night in the woods ?

    How about a Surefire E1L outdoorsman? I bet the 3 lumens is enough most of the time and 45 lumens is a click away. I like mine. I'd like to find a fully functional beater E1L so.... somebody have at it and sell me yours at a cheap price.

    Loose in right front pocket. Unless my S&W 640 is in there and then... depends on if its Winter or not. Sometimes I have to go to a belt holster. I hate looking like Batman. :-(cell phone,knife, light all carried on my belt)

    From what I have read here and expereinced personally it takes a big jump in lumens to see a difference in brightness.     If you are going to carry it in a pocket I think I would get the flush button of the "EDC Executive". That might be a problem with gloved hands?.... not sure there? I don't like a light coming on in my pocket. My Novatac rides in a pistol box now because it has the "tactical" raised button and...

    From what a buddy in Iraq tells me, its not just that red maintanes night vision, red is also harder for the enemy to see at a distance. I would like to compare "night vision green" to red at a distance, and see which can be seen more easily.... but I don't have any military night vision green...

    Best place to buy a surefire?

    I always start with Ebay when I'm not in a hurry. If it works great if not..... I got a new in package E1L for $81. shipped a few days ago. Yes, its the new 3/45 lumen model.
