    Plug-in lights for power outages

We had another short power outage at work yesterday. Our lighting situation would be familiar to many of you: a few security lights went on, but some places were dark, and some had no light at all. The only (company-owned) flashlights were cheap, plastic, buried in the back of some filing...

Which of the various 4-AA lights would you recommend?

I have a TN4A (the regular neutral XP-L, not the HI version), and I love it. I prefer a floody light, but if I wanted a 4xAA thrower I would certainly have bought the HI instead. I strongly considered the Sunwayman D40A, which I have not tried. I know Sunwayman is a well-respected brand, but I...

Thrunite TN4A (XP-L V6, 4xAA) review: RUNTIMES, BEAMSHOTS, VIDEO and more!

I have several Thrunite flashlights, and I've held onto this address as a "last resort" in case I can't get help from Thrunite (which hasn't happened to me yet). Note that this is just a residence and not a business address, so who knows if it's still of any use. Thrunite Service America...

    Simple Thrunite TN4A questions

The light should come with an o-ring already installed - it will work out of the box. The extra is just a spare. As far as batteries, you'll need to use Eneloop Pros (or their equivalents) to get the runtimes specified by Thrunite, or in Selfbuilt's review (which you should read if you haven't...

    ThruNite going under?

    Thrunite TN4A recommendation for camping?

I just got a diffuser for my TN4A. I looked around for a while & couldn't find one I liked until I stumbled across this on one of the german taschenlampen forums: http://www.xenoled.com/en/Parts/27/p27.html I don't speak German, but Google translate seemed to indicate that people generally...

    ThruNite going under?

On another note, Thrunite just introduced a new version of their T10 flashlight (as someone just pointed out over on Selfbuilt's T10 review thread). The new version is an "XP-L V6" instead of an XP-L, and puts out 252 lumens instead of 208. So, they are still putting out new products.

Thrunite T10S (XP-G2, 1xAA, Stainless Steel) Review: RUNTIMES, BEAMSHOTS, VIDEO+

It's similar here in the US too - Amazon says the "old" T10T/T10S use an XP-L (169-208 lumens), the "new" T10 uses an XP-L V6 (252 lumens). Thrunite's website has the same information now. I'm not entirely happy with the threads on/off twisting on my T10T - as I mentioned in a previous post...

    ThruNite going under?

I know that the Chinese New Year has a lot to do with the lack of products & information out there. Their founder & CEO, David Chen, has been semi-active on Facebook for the last month or so, saying that he'll provide more information on Thrunite & their plans for the future once he gets back...

    Thrunite story contest

Mods, I hope this post is appropriate for the Thrunite sub-forum; if not, please feel free to move or delete. Thrunite is currently running a contest on Youtube to win a TN36. They requested video submission of users' experiences with their Thrunite flashlight. I own a Thrunite TiS, T10t, and a...

Thrunite TN4A (XP-L V6, 4xAA) review: RUNTIMES, BEAMSHOTS, VIDEO and more!

Also, different people have different goals. And just to try to keep from going on a tangent - when buying the TN4A, I was looking for a good general "everyday" flashlight, to be used in emergencies, or one I can take camping, etc. I'm not necessarily looking for the best color rendition. In...

Manker Quinlan T01 (XP-L HI, 1xAA/14500) Review: BEAMSHOTS, RUNTIMES, and MORE!

Several people in this thread have recommended the Thrunite Neutron 2A as a competitor to the Manker Quinlan T01. Is the Neutron 2A still in production? I don't see it listed on Thrunite's website, and I can't find it on Amazon (their official store) or any other site.

Thrunite TN4A (XP-L V6, 4xAA) review: RUNTIMES, BEAMSHOTS, VIDEO and more!

I just recieved my TN4A in the mail today - XP-L NW version. I only have one other 4xAA light to compare it to - a Starry Light SA-22 that was a group buy over at BLF. It has a Neutral White XM-L2 T6 emitter, labeled as a 3C tint, and a smooth reflector. I wanted to post some photos, but the...

Thrunite T10S (XP-G2, 1xAA, Stainless Steel) Review: RUNTIMES, BEAMSHOTS, VIDEO+

No, there is no low battery indicator. I have a question for those of you who have the Ti - the threads on the head are "gritty", which I expected, but it's bad enough that it's really hard for me to twist on and off one handed (I also have grip issues, so maybe it's just me). What is the best...

Thrunite T10S (XP-G2, 1xAA, Stainless Steel) Review: RUNTIMES, BEAMSHOTS, VIDEO+

I've been wanting a Thrunite T10 for a while now, & it looks like they might be getting phased out - there's no longer any info about the T10S or the T10T on the Thrunite website, and many of the places that used to carry it no longer have it in stock. Amazon has the T10T on sale, so I ordered...
