    Also, people are more comfortable paying 1k for a light knowing what the old run sells for. If they make more of these, the second hand price will decline, making people less likely to be comfortable dropping 1k.

    Got minr a day early. I didn't know that this came with a battery (18650). I had ordered a battery from a different site. When I went to put it in, found an AW 3400 already in the light. Love the light so far. It needs some HDS companions though.

    I didn't mean to imply there is any risk, and apologize fully for doing so. I only meant that $1k is significant (for most of us), and 6 months is a long time to part with it.
