    Just got mine, this is one kick butt light , very well built and BRIGHT. there are so many lumens coming out the end you must make sure your holding on tight or it will fly out of your hand when you turn it on

    FYI . you are looking for the ASP TRIAD II . it is a 3 CREE XR-E head , 2 CR123 or CGR17670HG lion . rated for 135 lm. goes for $185.00, the old TRIAD was incan.

    I have the ASP TRIAD for about 6 months now. it is my favorite rite now . I used to carry a surefire U2 , but the ASP blows it away.

    I told them what I was using was a single 3.7 volt lithium ion cell (18650) which is lower than 2 CR123= 6 volts . the light has a boost function so it will run off 3.7 volts . I could understand if I put 2 RCR123 in it which would be 8.4 volts and burnt it.

    thats what I thought , I have been runing 18650 for 2 years , what a lame excuse from SF .I got a rma to send back to SF again . I am glad I bought a ASP triad while the U2 is down .it will take RCR123 no problems

    they are willing to fix it one more time, but if the new head wont do rechargables , I will send it to someone to mod with 3 cree in it. I just bought a ASP triad to use while my U2 is in the shop , this thing makes my U2 look like a candle.

    SF just told me I burnt out my new U2 by using a 18650 in it and that it voided my warranty WTF!.

    I just got my SF U2 back from repair , they replaced my head with a new one. I loaded my 18650 cell into and it ran for about a minute and then started strobing and when dead.
