The JIL-CR2 Intelli (and JCR2-IT) is practically unknown outside of CPF. I joined CPF to learn more about it :) . See here for what I've learned.

I was reminded of this light by another post. The LEDBeam 3C 3W Lux light is a very highly regarded light selling at an incredibly low price. A real thrower with long run time too.

In a similar vein, the Dorcy 3D cell 1W lux puts out more light than most 3W lights and mine measured over 4000 cd at beam center. You can't get them for $5.48 any more, but I think you can still get them for about $25.

In my book any flashlight that is not turned on is pretty "obscure"

You want obscure? Back in the late 70's/early 80's Rayovac had an Aluminum 3D similar to a M*glite.

These had modular construction, and you could make a 6D from two of them. I've never seen any other reference to it than what I've posted in the past.

Godd Luck however in FINDING one!

you mean like this here one I just bought...

One of the most amazing flashlight creation on CPF was the SPY005. Not many around so you don't here much buzz about them.
