I have wondered a lot why Fenix lights are not available in regular stores. It just baffles me. There has got to be a reason, but I can't figure it out. Seems to me that the Fenix-Store.com could do well distributing the lights to retailers. I have no idea why they don't, or why someone else doesn't cash in on this huge opportunity.

If only I had a few million to get this going...

I'm with ya.

As to the $$$ lights, there are 40+ Coast lights in Lowes. I bet you a Fenix, with its packaging, would be eaten up if it was sitting next to a Coast. Throw some fancy graphs on the back of the box and :poof:.

Think about the person who purchased that light. I guarantee they would tell everyone about this badass flashlight they bought at Lowes.

It would have to hurt the Fenix Store though. It must be nice for those guys to have such a great niche.

Haven't some Surefire lights popped up in Lowes?

EDIT : Then again, like someone else said, Fenix probably cannot produce that many lights. If they upped their production the "new light every month" would probably end. A new light with the latest and greatest emitter would cut into the older light sales.

That's great...what lights did you see that impressed you?

FYI, BJ is not a retail store, but MK was nice enough to waste some time with me. I would say the whole line of LumaPower lights impressed and surprised me the most. I hadn't given that brand the consideration it clearly deserves. Excellent build quality and very(!) bright.

This light was really cool:

REALLY impresssive quality:

and these lights are must-haves:

They carry a great line (Tiablo, OLight, SF, AE, Gear Light, etc.):grin2:

My highest recommendation for BatteryJunction.
