I need to charge a couple of Eneloop AA's. Using the MH-C9000 charger, what is the best, (if there is one best), charging rate that I should set for this battery?
Or, am I fine leaving the charger to do its work with the default setting? And what is the default setting, by the way?
As always, thank you.

Use .5C-1C. If Eneloop AA are 2000mAh, the C9000 defaults to 1000ma which would be .5C and should be just fine.

My recommendation exactly. I'll be charging all of my cells @ .5C with the C9000.

The manual for the C9000 states
NOTE: the default mode may not be suitable for battery lower than 500mAh and higher than 1500mAh.

If the default is 1000ma and the rule is to keep the rate at 0.5C to 1.0C, then would the note need to indicate that the default mode would not be suitable for batteries lower than 1000mah and higher than 2000mah?

A 500mah battery should be charged at between 250ma to 500ma, so the default of 1000ma is way too high, while a 1000mah battery would be right at 1.0C using the default setting. Also, a 2000mah battery should be charged at between 1000ma and 2000mah, so it should be fine with the default, even though it is above the 1500mah capacity in the note.

What am I missing or is the note incorrect?
