The color in my sample is a little light and dry looking. I rubbed a little oil in and darkened it a little along with bringing up a little sheen. It is pretty knurly...grab ahold of cotton fiber and hang on knurly. I'm not sure what the pic will look like, but it's a fairly close match (with oil) to the Head and tail. Anyway, maybe this will give you an idea.

*edit: ok I see the pic better. I need to rub some oil in again. If you look toward the tail, you can see what it would look like "wet" ..I think that's from dressing the orings with nyogel..it's a pretty close match. I'm goin to try some nyogel all over to see how it holds up. I just don't want it feeling oily though.

A quick couple of photos, as I finally got a FM1794 mini turbo-head. The E head to C tail 18650 body (will be running 2x 18350's), the Tetra tailcap and the turbo head. A nice combo!

My cell phone made the color look a bit more brown than they actually are. I think that's a fingerprint smudge on the tail fin, not a defect in the HA anodizing. Only saw it when I uploaded the image.

I just received one of these bodies second hand and have a question. Is there a reason there isn't an o-ring groove at the bezel end of the body? Is there not enough material? Other than this I'm very impressed and think it's a very suitable platform for my Oveready V5 triple head.
