I love this light. It has become my EDC. I love everything about the light, size, form factor, buy especially the UI.

Tell me why I should buy a d4vn xpg2 PDT...

Maybe he can show you why....with a beam shot! haha
im sure it will impress.
Im actually curious to see the difference myself. But I think he should show a beam shot of a totally stock xpl version with no mod done to optics.

Nice, Vinh! I wonder if mine includes that upgrade since I just got the shipping notification last night haha.

Je ne pense pas que je vais améliorer l'optique sur chaque modèle.

I have not measured the 219c...Man i should have. Had a sample the other day too....

Hi Vinh,

I bought you an Emisar D4 Nichia 219C,
I would like to have a little more detail on the LEDs you are riding?
Especially on CRI and color temperature.
A link ?
Thank...

I have both the stock Nichia 219c and Vinh's XPG2 PDT mod. I've measured both on my cell phone lights meter, so can give only relative data.
The D4vn XPG2 measures exactly double the D4 Nichia 219c, center of beam at 17 meters.
The Nichia is noticeably brighter in ceiling bounce indoors, which makes sense.
I would like to clarify an important point. My D4vn has the stock lens, not the recent change to new lens.

I'm a bit unclear what is modified on the N219C version.

It sounds to me like part of the optic is frosted to smooth out the beam, and 5000K emitters have been swapped for 4000K emitters. Is that correct?

Thanks!
