No dogs and no alcohol. New Jersey sounds like a bad place to be a camper.
Here in California i've only heard of two places that don't allow alcohol and one that doesn't allow dogs.
All the state parks and national parks allow both as far as I know including Yosemite.
Oh well, have fun everybody!

Updated official reservations list for the campout. If your name is on this list it means I have received your payment, and you have a reserved spot for the campout. I'll continue to update this list in new posts throughtout this thread.

:caution: Remember the sight can hold up to 40 people, but the ground space will be maxed out at roughly 15 tents, so if you want to go sign up soon!

I'm going to be staying with JimmyM, so that frees up another tent spot.

KartRacer31 - 1 / with JimmyM
JimmyM - 1 / 1 pop-up
AnimalHousePA - 1 / 1 tent
TOOCOOL - 5 / 1 tent
lasercrazy - 2 / 1 tent
Lighthouse one - 3 / 2 tents
Stan671 - 4 / 2 tents
Data - 4 / 1 tent
PC6uru - 2 / 1 tent
TOB9595 - 1 / 1 tent - (awaiting funds)
senecaripple - 2 / 1 tent
Monolith - 2 / 1 tent

Are there any scheduled activites, like mtn bike rides, hikes, baseball, frisbee, or side trips to local spots scheduled for the daylight hours?

LED_Thrift - Sorry, this time I don't have any "scheduled" events. But it wouldn't be a bad idea to bring a frisbee or whatever you want, I'm sure you will find willing participants. :)

No need to apologise. I just thought that if we can't sit around and drink, we might actually have to DO something. I'll know soon if I can make it. I was bummed that I couldn't make PF10 - I had such a great time at PF9 and really wanted to go. Camping would make up for it if I can get there.

Hope you all have a good time! I'll have to try and attend one of these camp outs when my kids get a bit older.

As you can see by the moon phase calendar below, one of the reasons I chose the weekend I did four FCW-3 was because it should be nice and dark!

dont let jeff see you posting these! i was already warned!:mecry::mecry:

Tim/Scott,
Is it possible to ban somebody from posting in a PhotonFest thread, if he/she hogs space without having any reservations? If YES, I have somebody in mind, but don't want to divulge the name at this moment.

Well, I got the camper out yesterday expecting to see the science experiment that it had turned into in the previous 2 years. Mold. Not so. It was pretty clean. I found a couple of small spots but dealt with those with quarternary ammonium and watered down bleach. Tragically, the canvas has been stained from "episodes" in the past. If course it couldn't have been that easy. I had a little visitor set up shop in a set of curtains. The one it built it's nest in was a total loss. Out it went. I've pulled the remaining curtains out for a thorough washing. While those were out, I sprayed the ENTIRE interior with the equivalent of Lysol. Floors, ceiling, canvas, cabinets. Then turned on the vents and heater to dry things out after being left to sit for hours. So then all there was left to do was patch the canvas and screen where the little b*stard chewed through. I have a little more work to do to make things truly ready. But, things should be in good shape for FCW-3. Really looking forward to the weekend. Not looking forward to paying $3.50 a gallon for gas down and back towing a trailer. Eeeek!

Hi Jim,

Sorry to hear about your unwelcomed tenant in the pop up. I promise to use the door, no chewing through anything to get inside for me. :D

I just finished cleaning up and repairing some battery connections. I swear, they love to grow that blue/green fur. In any case, all fixed and I'll put them through an equalizing charge when I return from Paris.
It's got an 800W modified sine wave inverter, so if anyone has 120V accessories that need plugging in, don't be shy.
