Greetings all!

I'm looking to build my own version of the "ice light" mainly because I do not have $500 to spend on one. :sick2:

I'm looking for something around the 5,200-5,400 color range, 1100 Lumens. It can either be an LED emitter or a flashlight.

I already have the casing and the plastic for it, just need to know what LEDs to get and then I can determine the power source.

I first want to make just a generic one light source version of it, but then I eventually want to make a multi-light/dimmable version.

Thanks in advance! :twothumbs

If you go to Cree website you will see that both the Cree XML-T6/U2 and XP-G2 emitters produce aprox. 100 lumen per watt of power which as far as I know is as powerful as they make.

Lumen count is dependent on emitter and wattage.

I just purchased an ArmyTek with the XP-G2 R5 emitter which has a cool white color range of 5500k.
