Click on his name in his post above and select view profile.
Thank you for the reply swatdude. It will not let me click on his name I'm assuming because of my lack of post count. Hopefully after this post I will be able to order a module from him.

What kind of run times do you think you'd see out of this set-up on high? I was thinking about using 2 of these in my L2P's for biking. Thanks

typically these P60 inserts are used in single 18650 light hosts, so it should be about 1 hour
(2.800 mA draw, 2.900 mAh cell)

Re: P60 modules - warm, neutral, cool white/XPG- XML / SST-50 -90 P60 modules (part 9

HI

As you have stated the 3C is 5000k close to a daylight white, the 1C is a 6500k coolwhite. It is more of a bright white while as I stated the 5000k is more of a daylight white possibly a bit creamier.

To get 400 lumens the 1.4 amp is probably about right. If you want 500 we will need to go to more like 2.1 amps. At 2.8 amps it will yield closer to 650.

Dave

How long the 1x18650 can run with 1.4A and 2.1A?
Thx Dave.

I posted on thread 7 by mistake. I am posting here again. Paypal sent for one D26 module, XPG Q5 3000k, 3 level H/M/L 2.8-6 volts with memory, 1.4 amp, op reflector, potted, $35 + $5 + 4% fee = $41.60. Thanks, Mark

Hey Nailbender, any way you could make a driver that does direct drive (about 4 amps) for high mode and then the normal amperages for Low and Medium on the XML module?

Hi

Sorry I don't have anything like that. I have 3.1 amps drivers that then drop to 40% and 5% but that is it. I am sure that you do realize that it will take at least a 26650 to even achieve 4 amps and the only 18650 that will possibly give up 4 amps would be a IMR.

I can do a direct drive as some do but not with levels, with levels it will be regulated.

Wish I could help

Dave

Hi

Thanks for letting me know, you specked what you wanted in the paypal notes so it was no problem.

Thanks again and have a good weekend.

Dave,
Would you say the XM-L T6 bin 1C Cool White a little greenish?
I notice a friend's flashlight with XM-L looks green to me but that's another light not your drop-in. I don't really mind a little green just wanted to know before i order.

Also can i order just the
OPTICS Modules for XRE only?
I already have the XRE. How much would it be?

Thanks,
John

Hi

I myself do not think that the 1C is greenish but the tints of emitters are VERY subjective. While years ago when the XPG's came out some commented that the 1C had a SMALL tint of green to it but I have heard nothing of this for at least a couple of years. I myself think they are closer to greyish and this is why I try not to describe tints becuase each members eyes are more sensitive to different tints. The 1C is right on the black baseline so it will be very close to white white. I can probably find a 1D around here somewhere if you would rather.

I really don't have the inventory to sell the parts to just optics modules, this module is not a straight forward build since it requires the emitter to be shimmed up several MM with the proper material to pass heat efficiently in order for the module to be the right height to fit most hosts. You can always send me the XRE and I will back off the $10 I put in the price for emitters.

Hi

As I have said they are basically white to me, I do not buy blue purple odd color tints. There is a link on the first page to Cree's sight and a chart of the tints to see where they range. They are almost identical and just plain white to me.

They rated at 650 lumens. I do not keep runtimes as battery strength / battery condition/ resistance of host or switch can make substantial differences. Shoot when asked this question no one even tells me mah of the battery or what type which even makes guessing tough. :) If you read back just a few posts though you will see that yellow gives you a good guess.
