I need another P60 P7 direct drive please. Thank you.

I will be running it with 3 C NiMH so I think direct drive would work best, unless you think the 3.7v to 9v will do the same lumens..

I am looking forward to testing by MrGman; the 1D Mag R2 @ 1amp and the One level P60 P7 with 3 NiMH. I am hoping for 600 out the front with the 3 NiMH C cells and a fresh P60 P7 drop-in in a fivemega 3C body. :twothumbs:twothumbs:twothumbs

Hi Dave,

Got my DD drop-in yesterday. Beam is really beautiful and very smooth. Only thing I had to do was stretch the spring a tiny bit to get it to work in my Solarforce L2. I've already put the light to good use, using it to help fix my headlight switch in my car last night and walking the dog with the girlfriend. Thanks again! :thumbsup:

That is great and I appreciate knowing about the spring. I can easily leave more spring or a whole spring since they are easily cut. The DD is taller than alot of leds so to get it to close up in a SF you have to chop the spring a long ways.

I am always glad to hear about these things as i have another member I am about to make some drops for that has the same light.

Just so everyone knows. I removed the larger outer spring so the head would screw down tighter on my bodies and the drop-ins still work perferctly.

This was on a SF 6P, Fivemega 1x18500 E series w/ clicky and a Fivemega/ Nite 2x18500 SF body.

Thanks for letting me know QtrHorse, I have not had any trouble in any of the ones you mentions also. I have a Cabelas that also work with a cut down spring. It depends on the led, P7 are deep, DD are thick they all have to have the reflector backed out.
The R2 XP-E are tight enough you can probably use a full spring and get the head to close.

I think it is mainly the solarforce that has a little deeper head pocket.
