P.S.

I had a great time, thanks again for hosting again. The food and company were excelent as usual.

I got a few pics of weylan juggling. I wish I had brought my tripod. Still, the light trails came out pretty cool.

Big thanks to Vicki and Kevin for hosting, and thanks to everyone for entertaining and being good sports with Avery. The glow wand was a big hit, and she had a lot of fun playing with everyone.

It was also great to have MrGman's sphere present as we got to see what all the fuss is about with those 6 Die Osram LED's and a whole bunch of other cool lights.

Some fancy cameras were floating around. All I had was my cell phone and these pictures will have to do until the professional ones are posted.

Guests begin to arrive and flashlights begin to land on the table.

Can't start talkin' lights on an empty stomach.

Weedle256 and SheDevil have a pool, which didn't go unnoticed.

Hey, where did this guy come from?

05-30-09_1848.jpg

Back inside more guests are arriving and the table is starting to fill up.

What's this??? Hmmm... someone called it "The Orb of Truth".

05-30-09_1922.jpg

Still light outside but ceiling beamshots have already begun.

05-30-09_1905.jpg

There's that strange box again.

05-30-09_2207.jpg

Ah-ha... The Orb of Truth measures output! A check of the light meter and a quick calculation and the lumen output is determined.

It finally got dark outside but most everybody was inside. We did venture out a few times to lightup the neighborhood trees, witness Jim's pyrotechnic display, and even saw the international space station fly over.

A few of us talked about having a night hike this coming Saturday. I just set one up and the signup thread is here.

Thanks for having the party and allowing me to join in on the fun. It was the "Sphere of Truth". The Orb of Enlightenment is at work.

Here are some readings.

Thanks for the fun readings, Gary. Sorry I didn't have everything charged to the max. However the numbers are probably quite representative of real output rather than the first seconds of overvoltage on freshly charged batteries.

I didn't think of it at the time, but we should have checked the regulation on one of my new regulated incans to see how stable the light output level is.

We can still make that happen some time. I always have a need for more pizza. It was very illuminating to see your design and I am most impressed. If there was an Incan set up that I wanted, your's would be it. G.
