:bump:

Only 5 lights left in this run.

Anyone interested in an XML TIR option? I have 8 optics on hand at the moment. Beamshots, lux and lumen readings soon. My preliminary measurements on lumens is looking like 600+!

I thought this was pretty cool!

This is my 4Runner parked on top of the Alpha (XM18-B). (link to my blog and larger image) We did a bunch of drop testing during the meet and I'll post some video of that soon! By the way, thanks for the help guys and thanks again for actually showing up! Sales have bit a bit slow here on CPF and it was a great boost for my motivation to see everyone get excited about my work. That's the most rewarding part for me...that and watching people throw my lights on the ground...repeatedly. Anyway, I got some useful feedback and have a couple of new things cooking so stay tuned.

Oh, by the way, the light didn't even notice that it had a car parked on it. Threads were even silky smooth after the fact :)

Arrived today! Can't wait to see what this baby can do. The TIR window/reflector/glass looks WEIRD. Can't wait for nightfall...

Edited to add some photos:

The XML with TIR with glow ring is weird. You can't actually see the glow ring due to the TIR window/reflector/glass/whatever-all-is-encompassed. It makes the business end of the flashlight glow in a really diffused way.

Minimum testing was getting hit in the face with over 540 lumens in broad daylight. Ouch. I brought it into the bathroom (darkest room in the office), turned it on and was impressed that it gave me more illumination than the actual ceiling light...

Should I be writing this here or do you want me to do this in a different thread? I can remove this post...

Looking forward to more photos! If anyone else has photos I'd love to see them as well. It's fun to see my lights in their new homes :)

Also, (edited to add) I have two pictures comparing the Alpha to a 4Sevens MiNi AA, Tactical AA, and Turbo AA^2:

Hey thanks for posting those pics! Hope you use my light as much as the others :) I did want to point out (in the head-on shot) that the wall thickness of my head is actually "what you see" in the photo. After seeing a lot of light that "look" thick, I've found they are actually quite thin. My point being, the walls on the Alpha are really thick...both for strength and heat dissipation.

I was up in Idaho a couple weeks ago and shot this video...trying to "show" how bright the light is. I've found it surprisingly hard to get a video that I'm happy with. The camera just doesn't seem to pick up any of the spill light...which is massive. Let me know if you have any suggestions on how to get "good" video!

Since your light arrived, I have used it more than the other three combined. Including turning a light on just for the hell of it.

Let me ask a photo/video guy I know...

Any plans on a single cell 123 light? If and when you make one, I'm sold.:)

I forget exactly, but one is 4000K and the other is 4700K. I'd look it up but I'm on my way to the airport :)

I was able to test out my Alpha during a recent 4H shooting sports camp (in the middle of nowhere.) I received the following comments:

"OW. WHAT IS THAT?!"
"Are you holding the sun in your hand?"
"Do you have something that doesn't feel like you're getting shot in the eyes?"
"Do you sell those? *followed shortly by* That's an awesome flashlight but I can't justify spending that much money on it." (His loss I guess.)
"*silence*" from the deer that was out in the field as he stared straight into the light

}:)

I almost tested it in the lake, but I didn't want to take the chance that there would be ANY water getting inside, your tests notwithstanding. I'm still really happy with this thing. It's freakin' awesome. My 4Sevens stuff barely gets used now...

I'm nearly out of lights on this run and gearing up for the second run. If you want any custom letter stamping or finishes...now is the time to let me know :) Here is a shot of a light I stamped for a customer.

I was also up in Sun Valley, Idaho recently and found a cool setting for a beam shot.

I'd like to post a feeler for this box but don't know what section of the forum is appropriate. Can anyone help me out?
