Surefire E series drop in head?

Hello. I got a Valiant Concepts head to put a Malkoff drop in head on an E series surefire. The beam with the new head is far less impressive than it is on a factory 6p head and body. Does anyone make a better product to put a 6p drop in on an E series body that does not hurt the beam profile as much as the Valiant concepts does?

Edit: this was not a fair post. I think it was a battery issue. I played with fresh batteries and was a lot happier with the results.

VME chokes the spill vs a Z44 or MDX head. One way around this is to bore out the diameter of the VME opening, which is easy to do with a uni-bit or a drill bit that's 1-2mm larger. As long as the gasket and lens still have a flat surface to seal
