now that I think of it its a interesting coincidence, as of someone knew that particular P60L is smooth and added a frosted lens to compensate for it:ohgeez:

I switched em' over and it definitely has better throw however the smooth reflector and clear lens has some artifacts in it.

I just went to a local Bass Pro last night to pick up a G2L

and when I got there, I found a G2L with diffuse lens.

I also checked out the 6PL with clear lens and compared

both. I prefer the 6PL with nice hotspot and nice spill

and a PYREX lens. The G2L has a nice transition from

hotspot to spill bec. of the diffused lens? I don`t think

this will throw much. I don`t like the lexan lens of the

G2L either. But, I like the new aluminum head. BTW,

I should have checked the the G2L reflector, but I lost

interest bec. I was amazed by looks of the Z2 ! :D

I bought the Z2 and will install my brand new Malkoff

M60 drop in.

Hi, I have the same thing per my post from about a week ago. I got the frosted lens with smooth reflector. Surefire sent me a clear lens but I still have the smooth reflector so there are artifacts in the beam but it does throw a bit further. Outside I do not see the artifacts. I know surefire is known for their beam based on the textured reflector so now I kind of feel like I do not have true surefire quality. Still debating on sending it back for a textured reflector..(exchange reflectors that is..)
