Is it possible to dismantle/assemble the outputring without damage? I want to clean it and make new grease on it. I saw a video, but i don´t know if it is possible to put it back together without damage. I have the newest version with the ssc-p4 led and 140 Lumens.

Just spent about 15 minutes trying to decide where to post this information. There are more Surefire U2 threads on CPF than one would expect.

At our son's soccer camp this past week, met a nice young family whose dad carried a well-used U2 Ultra on a side loop of his pants. He uses it at work. He gets the same comments we often get, as well as the occasional requests to borrow a lighting tool.

Turns out the switch internals lost some kind of retaining tab so that when opening the flashlight, the negative spring and flanged plunger part fall out, making it a challenge to replace batteries. He said Surefire sent him a replacement tailcap but it did not work and shipped it back. The next day I gave him the tailcap to my old U2, given that I traded my U2 head to Nitroz for a custom dropin some years ago (to use with the Oveready adapter that makes the U2 work with a P60 dropin), and have other tailcaps anyways. I asked to take a look at his, and was able to use flexible glue to keep the parts in place but still wanted him to keep the one I gave him for the sake of reliability. He insisted on paying me for it and I asked for $5. It was a pleasure to meet someone like that and be able to help out. CPF member bykfixer as well as others have helped me out and it is good to do similar.

Here are pictures of the inside of the tailcap after repair, and side views of his flashlight:
