Re: The Lounge

300k Lux from a single 18650, impressive... I wonder if anything tops that? The XSvn XPG2 S4 de-dome has 450K but I'm not sure if that's with the extender or not.

Check out the M25C2vnT. It's the single 18650 throw king, more than twice the throw of the M30CvnT.

Re: The Lounge

I'm still struggling to get a grip on how big the m30 is compared to the s200
Still sort of Leaning towards the TX whatever it's called with the 16340 as a pocket thrower....
Decisions decisions...

HELLO!

Vinh has the M30CvnT listed @ 177Kcd/841m/919yds. of throw.

Eagle Tac M25C2vn Turbo head XML2 PDT
Sony vtc5
1257@ turn on
1175@ 30 sec
814 high
578 mid
170 low
53 low2
Throw - 580,000 lux ,,,,that is 1523meters/1665 yds. of throw

Eagle Tac M25C2vn Turbo head XPG2 PDT
Sony vtc5
783@ turn on
754@ 30 sec
228 low
Throw - 775,000 lux,,,,,,,,that is 1760meters/1924yds........................OVER 1 MILE OF THROW!

SO WITH THE NUMBERS VINH PROVIDED[177Kcd NOT 300Kcd]...MIXING W/ JUSTINS[!] THE M25C2vn T "DOES" out throw the M30CvnT by twice the distance!

the reason is simple,the M30Cvn T specializes as a LUMEN/FLOOD MONSTER! IIRC IT HAS 3 LED'S?

EDIT: THERE IS DEFINITE CONFUSION ABOUT THE LIGHT LISTED AND THE ACTUAL LIGHT SHOWED.

you have the M30Cvn T and the M30vn T!!....The thread lists M30CvnT and shows an M30vn T light!

I surrender! At least I provided the CD/Throw numbers! lol.

Hello to you, sir.

I was just going by what Vinh has listed at his store site, which reads 300k Lux for the M30CvnT .

Thanks for your effort... the content of your post is helpful and appreciated.

Re: The Lounge

Capolini got the M30Cvn KIT mixed up with the newer M30CvnT, which is very understandable, especially since Vinh even has called it by different names.

Eagletac's names get so long you can't even fit them into one tweet!
Eagletac calls it "M30LC2".

I have a M30CvnT on the way (I thought it might be here today).

On SkyLumen the M30CvnT is listed as: Lux 300K,
Lumen 750.
When I click the factory link for EagTac, I see a "M30(LC2)" with a picture of the same flashlight as on SkyLumen ("M30" printed on it).

On SkyLumen, the M30Cvn (no "T") is listed as 177K.

I don't see a M30vnT (no "C") light on SkyLumen? Is it an older model?

Update: OK, I see a couple of new posts above mine. So everything's okay. I was a little worried that I had ordered the wrong light or something. Whew. :twothumbs

Re: The Lounge

I'm definitely ordering this light for my 83 year old dad. He needs something powerful and relatively small with 1 battery . Where out cabins are located you can never have enough lights with different configurations. I have put together a solar powered charging system after I talked with Vinh to make sure I was headed in the right direction. It takes a while to charge the 18650 up but time is on my side in the. mountains. Nothing like fishing and charging batteties:)

Re: The Lounge

Funny thing... I live pretty much in the country, but there is a very bright security light (which I'm charged a monthly rate for) located on a utility pole in my backyard. It's been bothering me ever since I've become addicted to V54's (I go out every night with one in each hand and pockets full). :p

So yesterday I stopped by the local power company and told them that I wanted it turned off so that I could make it pitch dark at my house when I wanted to.

Well they came today and I believe it's been turned off, but it's not dark yet so not for sure.

Anyway, I mentioned this to a friend today and the first thing he said was "oh now they're going to think you're growing marijuana and you don't want that big light messing up your plant's growth process".

Re: The Lounge

Ok... which light do you want to see a pic of?

Oh haha was that you I was talking to in the shout box last night? I still have to see a loan officer but I'll get the money for the 50k lumen even if I have to start growing marijuana.

Re: The Lounge

Yes that was me Dave. Well at least your light is turned off and it won't ruin the grow cycle. Lol

Hehe. No I was asking MAD777 about the M30CvnT that HE has on order. I haven't ordered that light.

And I don't have the T6vn either, sorry, but it's been ordered and I think it might be delivered later this week! I'll be sure and post some pics when it arrives.

I can post a pic of the security light that I had turned off if you want. lol

Lucky you had your ec20vn.

I would love if the power went out at my local grocery market. I would be like... hang on let me run out to my car, I'll be right back!
