Coleman Exponent Xcursion Lantern

Greetings!

I saw this product today at REI :huh: and was wondering if anyone here has any experience with the above lantern? Any thoughts to its performance? How does this compare in "brightness-wise" to other battery operated LED lanterns such as River Rock Design Ltd's 1.5W LL among others?

Indeed! I know it's fuel powered, that's why I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with them and how does it compare with some of the other battery operated LED lanterns. This one caught my eye when I saw it at REI, and for the size and weight factor with a burn time of roughly 6 hours—

OK, LOL! It's just that your wording infers that the subject is also battery powered...

Like most fuel powered lanterns, it's probably significantly brighter than a battery powered lantern. There is simply more energy per unit volume or unit weight in fuel than in batteries, and you can burn it up as fast as you want.

It is an interesting lantern, but I'm done burning fuel in a tent I think...
