Hmm, so the Spanish are now copying the Arc LS with 2AA and 1x123 tailpacks? And they both even look twisty rather than clickie...

The X11 looks a lot like the Arc LS!

I thought it looked a lot like the arc as well, these sites never have an abundance of information though. Never enough information, at least they mentioned lumens which was significant. Came across some more info, drat, they are 8 led lights.

Looks like a good body, either for the light, or for modding...

this is a price list coresponding with catalogue on their site, this didn't past in the same size as copied. I believe their price list is in Euros, but I honestly have no idea what the currency symbol is. Any spelling errors are compliments of Ombu.

They said the minimum order is 20 lights at the above price. Are 19 CPFers interested in such a light? 123 or AA?

€ = Euro

Where did you see that? I looked in the catalog and they have some other 8 LED lights but I think they are different. They were all 3 cell lights that I assume are unregulated.

The picture doesn't give a very good shot of the business end of the lights (X-11 and X-22) but what they do show looks a lot like NX05 optics and the PCB they show in the background seems to have a single LED mounted in the middle which a familiar phosphor coloring.

86511 looks interesting, an arc clone for sure, I wonder how bright that 1 watt is? same 123 battery. I was sent an adobe acrobat file (1 page catalogue)that I can forward to someone via email if they can post it here. I'm technically challenged. Just email me and i'll reply with the pdf attachment.

Re: came across this 25 lumen led light, xenon too

For reference, one euro is currently about $1.10 plus exchange fees. If you charge a foreign currency on your Visa card, Visa adds 1% to the base exchange rate which is pretty reasonable. Watch out, though, as some banks (like First USA who issues a lot of popular Visa cards) add an extra 2% for a total of 3%. That's still one of the best ways to buy stuff when you are on vacation, though, which is nice since it's also the most convenient. American express charges 2% and I don't know about Mastercard. But I digress...

At that rate, that's about $43 for the X-11 and X-22 which is a great deal if they are what they claim to be. I'd consider joining a group buy for one of them (probably the X-22) except I'm in England now so it might be difficult to coordinate.

Re: came across this 25 lumen led light, xenon too

Decisions.. I don't have the money to risk on what might be a bad light... I guess I'll just have to wait for an opinion and mabey grab one the second time around. Too bad it has a min of 20. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon23.gif

Let the bandwagon continue... I'll join in for an X-11...

Wait a minute... Who's going to head this group-buy off???

If you look at X-11 and X-22's page, there's a picture of the circuit board and that looks almost identical to Arc's too.

Re: came across this 25 lumen led light, xenon too

I have their standard 65 lumens powered from 2 DL123 cells aluminium flashlights. Body quality is almost the same as SureFire 6P, even switch looks the same but have different construction. Quality of light is much worse than in 6P and Maglite.
I saw X11 and light output is good. I have not possibility to compare to any other light with Luxeon 1W. I am only surprise that they put in data 25 lm output. They mention in leaflet that life of LED is 50000 hours which mean manufacturer expect lower life time than LX specification (100000 h). They use standard colimator.

Re: came across this 25 lumen led light, xenon too

I recall seeing this light being discussed before. I believe it was in the Arc forum. I think Peter G. had commented that this company had copied his design right down to the original mistakes they made in the circuitry!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yellowlaugh.gif
