Triton 2 charger. I need help programming it.

I am having a problem with the end of charge cut off on my Triton 2. The battery pack is a FiveMega 12AA holding Eneloops. I went through the menu on the charger and set it for NiMH, 14.4 volts nominal, 1 amp charge, but it goes past 16.8 volts and never stops. I stopped it knowing it was overrunning and the battery pack checks 17.55 volts. Too high.

What the heck am I doing wrong?

17.55 volts for a 12 cell battery pack is almost fully charged...

19 volts is too much.

Turns out I was being too cautious maybe? I *assumed* that a 12 battery pack should measure 16.8 volts fully charged.

I put another 12 Eneloops into the FiveMega holder, hooked it up and let it charge until it stopped. It terminated at 17.8 volts.
