Powering an led?

The forward voltage of that LED is rated at 15.1 volts, so unless you want to build/find a boost circuit to power it from a single battery I think your out of luck as I've never seen a 15 volt battery....

What is the appli
cation you want to use this LED for? You can get yellow LEDs that are just as bright or brighter that have a lower forward voltage so you could use a single battery like a 3.7 volt li-ion type.

I found a 15 volt battery on amazon for $10.

This is for an art project. I'm doing the head of Shockwave from Transformers, so I needed a bigger LED than the normal 3mm or 5mm.
