Nice choice- I would take the big Costco pack #2- and maybe some dental floss too.

If I was in Tom Hanks, and a flashaholic, I'd want something with a big sharp strike bezel so I could cut my way out of the multiple Oscar winner. The box would hopefully contain sanitizer wipes so I could clean myself off after escaping.

I figure out in the boonies I can probably get by mostly with moonlight mode, and at 4 hours use a night I can get 6 months on the first set of batteries already in the light.

So how long am I stranded? 5 years? I guess 'll need 18 extra CR123 primaries to make it through...

Where are you guys powering your chargers from?

A bit of both as I do a lot of jump-seating......and thinking.....and good point about the Li-ion issue.

Umm, why on earth you need sos mode, can't you do it yourself?
To me sos mode is something i probably need once in my lifetime, when that time comes i believe i know how to do it "manually".

I would rather take a light with beacon mode that lasts a whole night.

Oh and i EDC a multitool, lighter and a flaslight(+2 spare eneloops).

The Fedex box contained a Ti chess board game.

actually i would mod the freeplay jonta crank light and replace the luxeon with seoul or xpg this would be brightest set-up i think energy free

then you could always get a combo crank unit that has radio/light thats also solar powered

I would forgo the lighter for a mil-spec DOAN magnesium striker.
