i was just looking at the quark lights. I noticed that on the tail it looked like it has a couple of slots that might work with tritium vials? I have not been on here much lately so i apologies if this has already been talked about.

I am interested because i have a d10 with tritium and it is easily my favorite light. I do not think i will buy another light that does not have a place to stick a tritium vial.

I have 2 small vials sitting here looking at me "5.5x something i think" do i need to buy a quark aa just to have a place to put them?

don't mean to pick on you in particular but you've done what so many people do here. "Packing tape works well" USED HOW TO DO WHAT?

Yes, I am stupid but there are legions of us so when giving a good suggestion please be specific about how to do it.

Packing tape works well to hold the vials in place while the UV adhesive (Norland 61 in my case) cures.

I've done what so many do here? How about you? When I looked for info on how to mount tritium in this fashion, I paged through tens of pages using the search function so I wouldn't be adding to clutter on my favorite forum. The other people who give reponses that seem to inflame your constitution may be doing the same. When I saw these pictures, I thought to myself "self, there's someone else who saw the pictures of the tritium vials in a flashlight bezel, read the threads about using tape to hold them in place, and did so on the tailcap of a Quark without adding repetitive information to my favorite forum." So not to pick on YOU, but there's tons of information about how to mount tritium, how to remove it, and what kind of adhesive to use.

Use the search function before picking on your next target!

Respectfully, No

1) I made a point of saying I am NOT picking on you! I appreciate your explanation. MANY, MANY poster post great info here but without the detail needed by guys like me. My post was meant to encourage those with good tips to elaborate enough to make it understandable. I couldn't have possibly been more polite and self deprecating!

2) All the posts reminding people to research something somewhere else Are IMO FAR more boring than the repeated info itself. It seems like there is one in virtually every thread!

3) Successful searches frequently turn up outdated info that I have no way of knowing is outdated so when I see a thread that is about something that interests me I will continue to ask questions in THAT thread rather than searching for some older thread about the same subject.

4) Since the scope of this forum is somewhat limited of course there will be many duplicate threads. As long as both are not in the same forum at the same time so what?

5) If you can complain about redundant threads -and I didn't start this one btw - I can complain about partial helpful suggestions right?

Partial suggestions can be solved by putting those suggestions into the search box. Repetitive posts can't be helped as easily. Sorry about going off on you a bit. I hope you realize the links I posted for you and everyone else reading this thread. I got those links using the search function. There was a link for a cheap light that can cure Norland 61 as well, but I've not only forgotten what company made it, I forgot where I myself got it! Only paid about $20 so you should be able to find it . . . again, using the search function. My light cures fully in 2-3 minutes.

Good luck geting your tritium into your lights. Oh yeah, check the marketplace for Bart's Tritium thread. He's one of the most reliable sources for tritium (again, I got that using the search function, not to :dedhorse:).

Thanks for the info on Bart's Trits.
