I tried doing a search for red lights but it found nothing.

Can someone give me some recommendations on Red Cree lights. Nothing big, something the size of a Fenix P3D would be perfect. Would like output to be similar to the P3D also. Thanks guys.

It says 90lm at 100mA. How many mA does 2 CR123A put out. I'm trying to figure the output and runtime I can expect.

I would run it on 1x18650 instead. On high (1000mA rated), you would get at least several hours.

It also has lower modes.

Im not familiar with that battery. Not sure it would even fit my surefire G2.

What could I expect from 2-CR123A ?

A quality CR123A 3V cell can have a rated capacity of 1500mAh. With a 1000mA current (the high setting for the red Cree P60 dropin) such a cell would last 1.5 hours.

2xCR123A in your G2 would produce 6V with the same capacity (1500mA) as the single cell.

RCR123A cells generally have capacities around 750mAh, so half that of the primary cells, which means half the runtime at the same 1000mA current, or about 45 minutes. YMMV

Nailbender does great work for P60 style drop in's. He even has some red Osram LEDs listed on his sales page but I'm sure if you send him a message and start a dialog he can make about whatever you want and am sure he can get a hold of a cree red if that is what you wanted. He can customize voltage and modes jsut let him know and he is usually pretty fast as well. Here is a link to his sales thread!

If your looking for a more floody beam,
the Zebralight produce a H501 with a red emitter
