I'm shopping for the last flashlight of 2009 and the last one for a while for that matter. I'm torn between the Inova X2 or the new Icon Rogue-2. The tried and true or the radical and new. Open to all opinions.

What have you got against being prepared? From the movie Tremours.

If you don't already own one, add the SureFire 6P LED to your list of considerations..

What is in your collection now, and what will you be using the new light for? Do you use primary or rechargeable batteries? And, what size battery do you prefer? A little more information will help us help you...
Right now I'm trying to even things out between the battery types:
*18650/16250= 2 units
*CR123 = 10 units
*AA= 5 units

I was thinking along the lines of another AA primary, the only AA unit I've got with any real output is a Fenix L2D with a Rebel in the head. The Rebels are now considered ole school, the technology has changed quite a lot since it was built in 2007.

I've got a 6P with the optional LED drop-in, I should have waited before buying that drop-in...$49.95!! I could beat that anywhere with a cree for 1/2 the cost!
