Messing with my Novatac 85T, I wanted to mount the pocketclip under the bezel ring. There's a gap in there already, I know some people have done that, and I like the bezel-up mount for hands-free hat brim clip action. Don't like the way the clip rotates around when mounted under the tailcap. Used a racquetball pressed against the ring and twisted it off. Put the clip there, and liked it. The HA Black on the body is still great, but then I started looking at the fading and worn black finish on the bezel ring and tailclip, started messing with some 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper, some polishing wheels on the Dremel, and before I knew it...
The clip was taking some abuse, so I figured I'd clean that up to...
Kind of a neat way to dress the light up a bit. I like the polished steel on black look...
I had a few concerns about the ring loosening, but I put a tiny bit of Blue Loctite on the threads and tightened it up pretty good with the racquetball and it's pretty solid.
