Where to buy the 3-mode programmable Akoray K-106?

Hello all,

I just did a review of the Akoray K-106 3-mode programmable version on my site, and I came to the realization that this is a truly exceptional budget flashlight. Unfortunately they created an identity crisis by making other identically-named versions of this light that are not programmable. Does anyone know where the good 3-mode programmable version can ordered from with reasonable confidence that they will send the right version? From the reports it appears that DX no longer a reliable source; they are shipping a 6-mode non-programmable one. KD appears to still be selling the good one. Anyone else?

Hmmm, do you think that version is programmable? Or would it be the cheaper "Nkoray" or "Akoray" 5-mode? Notice that it has a GITD switch? The 3-mode Akoray programmable never had that before, unless this is a new version.

Amazingly enough they have live chat support during their New Year holiday, and they told me that it is NOT programmable.

Same here. Ordered in January. They specifically mention 3-mode programmable on their site. Bought this to replace a lost one I ordered from DX in November, I think. That was also programmable.

Unless I get lucky, I've got the non-programmable version on the way from DX (order placed on January 31st...in transit). How long does delivery take from Kaidomain? Waiting on deliveries form DX drives me mad so it would be good to find another source for these lights without as long a wait.

Kaio has two models that are programmable if I remember correctly, the K106 3 mode, and the K16. I was tempted... then the D10 tribute came along and sucked up my budget.

How long does delivery take from Kaidomain?

Mine took exactly seven days between order, and delivery to Europe. It was said to be "in stock" when I ordered. This was my shortest delivery time ever from DX and KD.

I order a k-106 from KD 5 days ago - I'll let you know what version it is when it gets here.

(Like a previous post I've also lost my previous programmable one from DX - ordered another from DX and got the 6 mode non programmable :-( Still a good light though - been relegated to the garage for emergency use).
