I bought a couple of the Energizer Disney flashlights from Target for my 3-year-old daughter, and she loved them when I gave them to her. I asked her if she wanted to play with them yesterday, and she said, "No, they're not bright enough. I want yours."

That is too cute. That is definitely a kodak moment, to replay over and over again in your mind.

When i was 5 all i had was a Playskool flashlight. I remember seeing the "real" and "adult" flashlights from relatives and neighbors. My mom said that real flashlights are not for children because they can "blind" other people. It was during hurricane Andrew, when we left with just the clothes on our backs and I did not take my flashlight. To keep me amused while at the shelter, my paw paw let me play with his Bright Star 575 (it is from his genes that I have an interest in flashlights). That Christmas I got an Eveready 3553, and it was my favorite present that year. I know all children have an interest in flashlights, but with most it seems to fade with age. Some of us it remains though.

It's not about remaining, its about rediscovering our love for flashlights...

I always had a love for flashlights. I just suppressed it for some time because i was afraid of what my peers might think. When I was 16, I guess you can say I rediscovered it. When I was 18 I bought my first Mini Maglite. (my very first Mag was a 4D and was given to me as a gift when I was 11; but a battery leakage ruined it). Also by the age of 18, I got to the point that I didn't care if people would make fun of me for my love of flashlights. Now I am addicted to flashlights.
