I can make your choice really easy...

It seems like you lean towards most lumens, dome on, which is what a lot of people seem to be recommending. This light is a flooder, so going for super flood makes sense! Here's the thing, Vinh accepts returns/can always shave/dedome a light if you don't like the dome on, but you can't really go backwards unless you do a full return/refund on the light (which Vinh so nicely allows us to do.) You really have nothing to lose except shipping time, so get ordering!!! Get dome on, you will love it, and if you don't send it back to Vinh for further mods! Problem solved!

Yes what a great picture!

Is this "the real Vinh or an imposter" ?

Not just an imposter but THE ELITE IMPOSTER[emoji1] I don't have any warm tint xhp70 to show u outofthedarkness, but my quad xhp70 in cool white is very nice with very good color retention. Maybe because my eyes are not picky. The cool white will be brighter. Btw, I don't know how u guys are not seeing the difference in the shave and diffuse dome in the pics on skylumen. I can definitely tell the difference in output from looking at the trees.

So your saying you can see a difference and your saying spec 1 dome on cw is brighter than shaved dome?

Which one would you choose?

Thanks for the info on the xhp70

Yes if u pay close attention to the trees on the sides. Also u have to take into account that the camera stepped down when these pictures were taken so it's hard to tell just looking at pictures. Yes if up to me I would choose spec 1 dome on cw. To me the light is going to get hot with either specs so I would go with the higher lumen. But then again I have very bland taste and I don't like anything warmer than 5000k.

I don't like warm light just want the colour to be ok!

After all the comments I am going to go with spec 1 cw dome on!

Glad u found my I mean your flavor of xhp70[emoji1]. Don't think about the color thing too much. That cool white xhp70 is very smooth and creamy.

Hi all

About to order this light but can't decide on spec 1,2 or 3?

I want the biggest wow factor, brightest light with the widest flood to fill my peripheral vision the most

Not sure on dedomed as I don't want to lose flood!

Can we all vote on here then I will go with majority vote

CW dome on, CW dome off, or NW Dome on ????

Spec 1 is all you need to know. The tint snobs will push you towards neutral white, which is fine if you prefer a yellowish, cheapish looking beam with less lumens. Bahah just playin...

I haven't even seen the nw in this light but when I mostly don't like the lower tints is when I'm shining indoors. To me the higher Tints look more clean and bright. Outside I don't notice it as much. But, tint snob #1 is right about cw distorting the natural color of plants and stuff.

So for max Wow... spec 1. Then after 30 seconds turn it off and pull out your thrower for 60 seconds. Rinse and repeat.

The CW is a good one of the xhp70, so no big deal imho, the colours on the Q70 are well represented................

Personally i prefer more neutral for closer up uses, EDC types and some flooders too. The MKR CW version is a nice tint as well, i think the ones i dont like are the cold ones with blue in.........i mean real cold blue in.
